Call to Order 9:07 a.m.
Motion to approve Minutes of June 7, 2014 made by Liz Stone, seconded
by Kathy Janonis. No discussion held. Motion approved unanimously.
Citizens to Be Heard No comment made by our guest.
Financial Report Motion to accept as presented made by Jill Friedrichs, seconded by
Tarina Wimmer. No discussion held. Motion approved unanimously.

4 of July Parade Jill Friedrichs reported that there were 76 units in the parade, only 2 units
st
were taken after July 1 cut-off. The Mount Prospect Jaycees showed up the morning of the
event and were added. Dundee Scotsmen Pipe Band are a new addition with a fee of $1,000.
There were eight other new units. According to Sean Dorsey, Public Works Director, there were
minimum gaps in the parade. To date $15,580 of budgeted $18,000 has been spent for
participants. Observations that were made the day of and during the event: #17 the driver was
on the phone while driving; #35 girls wore inappropriate attire (do not invite back); #59 gave
away Icees from coolers not on wheels, slowed parade; last person/group needs to carry a sign
-up in
alphabetical order to help stage. Attached is a observation/recommendation letter from Chief
Tim Janowick, MPPD.

Family Bike Ride Date of the event will be August 16. Tentative sponsors for the event are:
Bright Horizons Child Care (main), B & E Accounting, Menchies, Byte Me Computers, Orange
Therapy, River Trails Park District and Watychowicz Law Office. Nut Phree will be donating gift
cards for the drawing and Liz Stone has been contacting businesses for raffle prizes. Teresa has
purchased 1,200 bags at a cost of $1,730. These bags will be used for several years ~ may
interchange with other give-away. There will be a change of route; this year there will only be a
five mile route that will be looped for ten mile riders. A raffle ticket will be given at registration
to be redeemed after the ride for the drawstring bag. Fred Steinmiller will get water for the
event. Registration will be 8:30 with the ride beginning at 9:00. Liz Stone and Vicki Busse will
offer registration at the Farmers Market.

Meridian.
Tentative to be held at Bristol Palace.
