A HOUSEKEEPING ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9
(PUBLIC UTILITIES, PAVEMENT AND TREE REGULATIONS),
CHAPTER 14 (ZONING), ORDINANCE NO. 6110 (AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 13 "ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS ") AND
ORDINANCE NO. 6122 (AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11,
"MERCHANTS, BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS AND AMUSEMENTS ")
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: Section 9.201 "General Definitions" of Article II, Definitions to
Chapter 9, "Public Utilities, Pavement and Tree Regulations" of the Mount Prospect
Village Code shall be amended by deleting the definitions of "Sight Triangle" in its
entirety and inserting a new definition of "Sight Triangle" which shall be and read as
follows:
SIGHT TRIANGLE: Refer to Section 14.2401 of this Code.
SECTION 2: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 6122 adopted on February 4, 2014
shall be amended as follows:
SECTION 2: Article XXXVII, "Sale of Tobacco Products" of
Chapter 11 "Merchants, Businesses, Occupations and Amusements" of
the Mount Prospect Village Code shall be amended by adding a new
Section 11.3703.1 shall be and read as follows:
11.3703.1: PROHIBITED SALES OR DELIVERY:
Any licensee or any person in the business of selling or otherwise distributing,
promoting or advertising tobacco products shall keep tobacco products behind a
counter in an area restricted in access to the licensee or the licensee's agents or
employees. (Ord. 4189, 5 -15 -1990; Ord. 4914, 3 -3 -1998)

SECTION 3: Section 13.101 entitled "Words and Phrases" to Chapter 13
"Alcoholic Liquor" of the Mount Prospect Village Code and Ordinance No. 6110 adopted
on December 17, 203, shall be amended by deleting the definition of "FLIGHT OF
WINE" to read "FLIGHT." The remainder of the definition remains the same.
SECTION 4: Subparagraph (D)(2) of Section 14.316 "Unenclosed Porches in
the Required Front Yard Setback" to Chapter 14 "Zoning" shall be amended by deleting
the first sentence of subparagraph (D)(2) in its entirety and inserting a new first
sentence in lieu thereof to be and read as follows:
2. For all applications for an unenclosed porch in the required
front yard setback, the department of community development shall notify
all owners of record of property lying within one hundred feet (100'), of
the subject property.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
