Home My WebLink About02/11/2014 COW Minutes COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES February 11, 2014 I.CALL TO ORDER–ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order at 7:00p.m. in the Village Board Room of the Village Hall, 50 South Emerson Street, by Mayor Arlene Juracek.Trustees present included Paul Hoefert, John Korn, John Matuszak, Steven Polit,RichardRogersand Michael Zadel.Staff present included Village Manager Michael Janonis andAssistant Village Manager David Strahl. II.APPROVALOF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES FOR DECEMBER 10, 2013 Motion made by Trustee Korn second by Trustee Zadelto approve the minutes of December 10, 2013. Minutes were approved. APPROVAL OFSPECIAL MEETING MINUTES FOR JANUARY 14, 2014 Motion made by Trustee Hoefert second by Trustee Rogers to approve the minutes of January 14, 2014. Minutes were approved. APPROVAL OF SPECIAL MEETING MINUTESFOR JANUARY 28, 2014 Motion made by Trustee Zadel second by Trustee Polit to approve the minutes of January 28, 2014. Minutes were approved. III.CITIZENS TO BE HEARD None IV.MANAGER’S REPORT Assistant Village Manager Strahl provided an update regarding the fire at Sakura. He stated that the cause of the fire continues to be under investigation andthe Village is coordinating with the various insurance companies and engineers to secure the site for entry for investigation purposes. There will need to be some debris removal before the site is deemed safe for entry allowinginvestigation purposes. All residents have been relocated. Continental Bakery continues to operate temporarily out of the first floor village Hall and they are currently looking for an alternative site. V.ANY OTHER BUSINESS None VI.CLOSED SESSION Motion made by Trustee Zadel second by Trustee Hoefert to move into Closed Session meeting at 7:21 p.m. 2/11/14 Committee of the Whole Page 1of 2 VII.ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned from Closed Session at 7:25 p.m. and returned Open Session at which time the Open Session immediately adjourned.
