A. ZBA 2-A-96, Text Amendment
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14
(ZONING) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance amends the driveway width regulations to permit
driveways serving three-car garages to exceed the maximum
allowable driveway width within 15 feet (15') of a garage. The Zoning
Board of Appeals recommended granting this amendment by a vote
of 5-0. (Exhibit A)

A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V ENTITLED
"METERS AND RATES" OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance increases the fees for water and sewer services. (Exhibit B)
B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II ENTITLED
"GARBAGE AND REFUSE" OF CHAPTER 19 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance provides for a Lien to be filed against properties that
fail to pay for garbage/refuse service. (Exhibit C)
C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE
OF $3,150,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS (Exhibit D)
D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VIII
ENTITLED "REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX" OF CHAPTER 8
OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance increases the pedod of time from one year to two
years for a resident who sells their residence in the Village and
purchases another one in the Village in order to qualify for a rebate
from the Real Estate Transfer Tax. The two year period will conform
with IRS regulations. (Exhibit E)
E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XVIII
ENTITLED "RESIDENTIAL LANDLORD AND TENANT
REGULATIONS" OF CHAPTER 23 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance increases the annual license fee for multi-family
rental structures from $7.00 to $14.00 and provides for that
license period to begin in June of each year. (Exhibit F)
F. Accept public improvements installed in conjunction with the
construction of the Toko America facility located at
1250 Feehanville Drive.
(3. A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS
This Resolution appropriates $850,000 from Motor Fuel Tax
Funds for the 1996 Resurfacing program. (Exhibit G)
H. A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS
This Resolution appropriates $150,000 from Motor Fuel Tax
Funds for the 1996 Reconstruction program. (Exhibit H)
I. Increase the cost of a refuse/yard waste sticker from $1.25 to
$1.40 each.
