D. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13
(ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance grants a Class '~/" liquor license (beer and wine
served at the table only) to Frankie's, 720 East Rand Road. (Exhibit A)
E. Martinelli's Restaurant, located at 1724 West Golf Road, has
gone out of business and the new owner of the establishment
has submitted a request to allow the operation to continue under
the existing Class "S" liquor license. The new name of the
restaurant will be Bella Capri.

VIII. OLD BUSINESS
A. ZBA 15-CU-95, Text Amendment
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14
ENTITLED "ZONING" OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance amends various sections of Chapter 14 relative
to home occupations and parking commercial vehicles in
residential zoning districts. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting the text amendments by a vote
of 4-0. (Exhibit B)
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. Safety Commission recommendation:
1. A resident requested the speed limit on the 200 block
of Leonard Lane be reduced from 30 MPHto 20 MPH.
The Safety COmmission recommended granting this
request by a vote of 6-0. -
2. A resident requested the speed limit on Meadow,
Wedgewood, Oxford and Stratford be reduced from
25/30 MPH to 20 MPH, The Safety Commission
recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0.
3. The Safety Commission considered the recent
staff recommendation to widen Albert Street at
Northwest Highway. By a vote of 6-0, the Safety
Commission recommended not to widen the street.
B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE
This Ordinance authorizes the sale of specific vehicles and/or
equipment through the annual auction conducted by the
Northwest Municipal Conference to be held October 26th at
the Mount Prospect Public Works Building. (Exhibit C)
C. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETVVEEN THE VILLAGE AND THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION
This Resolution authorizes the Village to enter into a shared-cost
program for the purchase and installation of traffic regulatory
pre-emption equipment (Opticom) (Exhibit D
D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIV
ENTITLED. "MISCELLANEOUS LAWS" OF CHAPTER 18 OF
THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance deletes Section 18.1404 from the Traffic Code,
which section defines underage driver as anyone under the age
of 16, This amendment will bring the Village Code into
compliance with the State Statutes which allows 15 year olds
to take drivers' education classes. (Exhibit E
X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Bid results:
1. Two 1 ton four wheel drive cabs and chassis
2. One 3/4 ton pickup truck with utility body
3. One 4-door sedan
B. Accept Labor Agreement with the Public Works Department
C. Ratify action of the Village Manager which authorized
repairs to a fire pumper.
