VIII. OLD BUSINESS
A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIX OF
CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC CODE)
This Ordinance amends the immobilization/impoundment procedure
for a vehicle to allow the boot to be used when the vehicle is parked
in a public right-of-way, rather than the existing regulation which
provides for the boot to be applied only when the vehicle is
committing yet another violation. (Exhibit B)
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21
(BUILDING CODE) IN ITS ENTIRETY
This Ordinance amends the Building Code in its entirety,
adopting the most recent edition of BOCA. (Exhibit C)
B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24
ENTITLED "FIRE PREVENTION CODE" OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance amends the Fire Prevention Code in its entirety
and includes the regulations governing sprinkling systems. (Exhibit D)
C 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIV
ENTITLED "FIRE LANES" CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC CODE)
IN ITS ENTIRETY
This Ordinance incorporates all the designated fire lanes in the Village. (Exhibit E)
D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V OF
CHAPTER 8 (VILLAGE GOVERNMENT MISCELLANEOUS
PROVISIONS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance creates a fee for checks returned to the Village
due to insufficient funds in the account for which it was drawn. (Exhibit F)
E. 1st reading Of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6
ENTITLED "TELECOMMUNICATIONS CODE" OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance amends the 'Model Telecommunication Ordinance"
to incorporate the most recent changes adopted by State
legislators. (Exhibit G)

X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Request to waive bidding procedure and authorize the purchase
of one Motorola in-car computer work station for squad cars, which
are specialized pieces of equipment.
B. Bid Result: 1. Custodial Maintenance Contract for various municipal buildings
2. Holiday Lights
3. 1997 Sidewalk Ramp Program
4. 1997 Phase II Street Resurfacing Program
5. 1997 Street Light Program
C. Accept proposal for water meter installation and testing contract
D. Accept proposal for engineering services bank stabilization design
and bridge replacement on Weller Creek between Emerson and
Main Streets.

A. LITIGATION 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11 ) - "Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on
behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or
administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or
imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the
minutes of the closed meeting."
B. 5 ILCS 120.2 (c) (21) - "Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under this Act,
whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of
the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06."
