AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIFIED VARIATIONS
FOR PROPERTY AT 700 EAST RAND ROAD
WHEREAS, Palatine National Bank as Trustee Under Trust No. 1695
dated April 29,1976 and the beneficiaries thereof, J. Daniel
Seckelmann and Dorothy E. Seckelmann, (who shall be referred to
collectively as "Petitioners") are the owners of a parcel of
¡'property located at 700 East Rand Road in the Village of Mount
Prospect, County of Cook, State of Illinois (hereinafter referre
to as the "Subject Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is legally described as follows: ~.
I LOT TWO (2) in Kamysz' Subdivision of that part of the Nort -
east Quarter (1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (1/4) of Sectio
34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third principa
I Meridian, lying Easterly of the Centerline of Rand Road
(except the Nortq 100 feet thereof), as measured on the Eas
Line thereof), according to Plat thereof registered in the
Office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois,
on October 15, 1973, as Document Number 2722271;
and

WHEREAS, the Subject Property is located in the B-3 Business-
Retail and Service District under the provisions of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village"of Mount Prospect (hereinafter referred
to as the "Zoning Ordinance"); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property abuts property located in the I-I
Light Industrial District; and
WHEREAS, Section l4.2002B2 of the zoning Ordinance requires that
the side yards for the Subject Property maintain the side yards
required in the I-I District under Section 14.2202B3 which
requires thirty foot side yards; and
WHEREAS, Petitioners have h~retofore filed an application seekin
a 25.13 foot variation from the provision of Section l4.2002B2 0
the zoning Ordinance to permit a side yard on the norfuer~ sid
of the Subject Property of 4.87 feet; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the Petitioners' request frr
the aforesaid variations, which request is known as ZBA-52-V-79,
before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount
Prospect on Sèptember 27,1979, pursuant to proper public notice
published in the Mount Prospect Herald on September 11, 1979; an
WHEREAS, the zoning Board of Appeals has recommended to the Buil -
ing Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect that Petitioners' request for the aforesaid variation,
ZBA-52-V-79, be granted; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have considered the
Petitioners' request and reviewed the recommendation of the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect Zoning Board of Appeals in ZBA-52-V-79;

EREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
ount Prospect have determined that with respect to the Peti-
,[ioners' requested variations, that Petitioners have satisfied th
I!~t andards for the granto..f a variation set forth in Section 14.60
bf Article VI of the Zoning Ordinance and find that it would be i
~he best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect to grant Peti-
i~ioners the requested variation;

ECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated
I ere~n as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees
II f the Village of Mount Prospect.
ECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village
f Mount Prospect hereby grant the following variations for the
ìl' roperty legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto and
