A. ZBA 1-97, 1401 North Sauk Lane
This case, continued from a previous meeting, is a request
to allow an attached garage to be constructed within 4 feet from
the exterior side yard for a garage and living quarters. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting the request
to allow the garage to be constructed 4 feet from the lot line
but to eliminate the 2nd floor living space over the proposed
garage.
B. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18
(TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance establishes the following prohibitions on
traffic movement:
1.No right turn from southbound Rand Road onto Isabella
between the hours of 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM
2.No left turn from eastbound Isabella onto Rand Road
between the hours of 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM
3.No right turn from southbound Rand Road onto Henry between
the hours of 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM
4.No left turn from eastbound Henry onto Rand Road between
the hours of 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
5. No left turn from Northbound Louis onto Rand Road between
the hours of 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM (Exhibit A)
C. ZBA 7~97, 208 E. Rand Road
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 208 EAST RAND ROAD
This Ordinance grants a Conditional Use in a B-3 zoning
district to allow the operation of a tire sales and service "drop-off"
automotive service center. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting request by a vote of 6-0, (Exhibit B)
D. A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ADDENDUM OF NEW
MEMBERSHIP IN THE NORTHWEST CENTER 9-1-1 SYSTEM
This Resolution authorizes the 9-1-1 system to admit the newest
members of the System, Hoffman Estates and Streamwood, (Exhibit C)
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL
AND EXECUTION OF AN EXTENSION TO THE HIGH LEVEL EXCESS
LIABILITY (HELP) POOL CONTRACT AND BY-LAWS DOCUMENT
This Ordinance provides for the continued participation of the Village
in HELP, an intergovernmental.liability insurance pool. (Exhibit D)
B. ZBA 3-97, Mt. Prospect Park District, Trade Service Property
At the request of the Petitioner, this case has been deferred until
the regular meeting of June 17th.
C. ZBA 10-97, 2304 Terminal Drive
The Petitioner is requesting an amendment to the Planned Unit
Development governing the Tank Farms to permit a storage tank
and fire suppression pump house for Uno-Ven Tank Farm. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting requests by a
vote of 6-0.
D. Acknowledge receipt of the 1996 financial report for the
Mount Prospect Public Library.
