AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, it has been determined that it is no longer
necessary, useful, or in the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain
ownership of the personal property hereinafter described, and previously used by the
Television Services Division; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect to make available for intemet auction, any of the personal property as
described in Exhibit "A,' which is not donated to Mount Prospect school districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to its home rule power, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect find that the personal property described in the attached Exhibit
"A" now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer necessary or useful to the
Village of Mount Prospect and the best interests of the Village will be served by its
donation to schools or sale.
SECTION TWO: The Village Manager or his designate is hereby authorized and directed
to donate the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount
Prospect, to Community Consolidated School Districts 21,26, 57, 59 and 214, immediately
upon passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION THREE: Any items remaining after said donation to Mount Prospect school
districts shall be immediately made available for intemet auction by use of the website
www, eBa y. com.
SECTION FOUR: Upon payment of the full auctioned price, the Village Manager or his
designate is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid
personal property to the purchaser.

SECTION FIVE: Any items remaining unsold after the above date may be disposed of by
the Village Manager or his designate in a manner which is in the best interests of the
Village.
SECTION SlX: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
