AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT SPECIAL SERVICE AREA
NUMBER TWO
E IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
'ILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
ECTION ONE: Authority. The Village of Mount Prospect Special
,ervid~ Area Number Two is established pursuant to the provisions
f Ill. Rev. Stat., 1979, Ch. 120 §1301 et s~q., an "Act To Pro-
'ide The Manner Of Levying Or Imposing Taxes For The Provision
~f Special Services To Areas Within The Boundaries Of Home Rule
Inits And Non-Home Rule Municipalities And Counties."
ECTIqN TWO_: Findings.
The question of the establishment of the area hereinafte~
described as a special service area was considered by th~
President and Board of Trustees pursuant to "An Ordinanc~
Proposing Establiskment of Village of Mount Prospect
Special Service Ar~'~a Number Two And Providing For A Pub-
lic Hearing And Otl~..~:z Procedures In Connection Therewith,
being Ordinance 29~]7' and was considered at a public heari
held on April 1, 1980, by the Village Board pursuant to
notice duly published in the Mount Prospect Herald on
March 7, 1980, a newspaper of general circulation within
the Village of Mount Prospect, at least fifteen (15) days
prior to the hearing and pursuant to notice by mail I
addressed to the person or persons in whose name.the
general taxes for the last preceding year were paid on /
each lot, block, tract or parc~i of land lying within th~
special service area. Said no~ice was given by depositi~
said notice in the United States mail not less than ten
~10} days prior to the date set for the public hearing.
In the event taxes for the last preceding year were not
paid, said notice was sent to the person last listed on
the tax rolls prior to that year as the owner of said
property. Said notices conformed in all respects to the
requirements of Ill. Rev~ Stat., 1979, Ch. 120 §1305,
aforesaid.
A public hearing on the question set forth in said
notices was held on April 1, 1980. All interested per-
sons were given an opportunity to be heard on the
question of the creation of the special service area and
the construction and installation of a water system con-
sisting of water mains, water lines, hydrants, meters
and related appurtenant facilities to serve said special
service area.

After considering the data, questions and objections,
as presented at the mub!ic hearing, the President and
Board of Trustees finds that it is in the best interesn
of the Village of Mount Prospect and of the residents an~
owners of property located within Special Service Area
Number Two of the Village of Mount Prospecn, that said
special service area, as hereinafter described, be
established.

It is in the bes~ interests of the Village of Mount
Prospect that said special service area be created for
the purpose of constructing and installing a water
system consisting of water mains, water lines, hydrants,
meters and related appurtenant facilities to serve said
special service area~
It is in the best interests of Special Service Area Numb.
Two in the Village of Mount Prospect that the furnishing
of the services proposed be considered for the com~non
interests of said area.
~ECTION THREE: Village of Mount Prospect Special Service Area
~umber Two Established. A Special Service Area to be known and
~esi~nated as "Village of Mount Prospect Special Service Area
~umber Two," is hereby established and shall consist of the fol-
lowing contiguous territory which is legally described as follows
Ail that part of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of
Section 11, Township 41 North, Range It East of the Third
Principal Meridian Which lies South of the South line of the
North 10 acres of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of
Section I1 aforesaid together with all that part of the West
25 acres of that part of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4
of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian lying North of the center line of Golf
Road described as follows; Commencing at the point of inter-
section on the North line of the West 1/2 of the Northwest
1/4 of Section 14 aforesaid, with the East line of the West
25 acres of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14
aforesaid; thence South along the East line of the West 25
acres of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14
aforesaid to the center line of Golf Road; thence North-
westerly along the center line Golf Road to its intersection
with the West line of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of
Section 14 aforesaid; thence North along the West line of
the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 aforesaid to the inter-
section with a line which is the North line of Lots 2 and 20
extended West in Busse Country Estates being a subdivision
of the West 25 acres of that part of the West 1/2 of the
Northwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range I1
East of the Third Principal Meridian lying North of Seegers
Road (.now Golf Road); thence East along the said extension
and along the North line of Lots 2 and 20 aforesaid to the
Northeast corner of Lot 20 aforesaid also being the West
line of Meyer Avenue as dedicated in Busse Country Estates
subdivision aforesaid; thence North along the West line of
Meyer Avenue as dedicated in Busse Country Estates subdi-
vision aforesaid and along its extension North to its inter-
section with the North line of the West 1/2 of the Northwest
1/4 of Section 14 aforesaid; thence East along the North
line of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14
aforesaid to the place of beginning~
iECTION FOUR: Purpose of Area. Village of Mount Prospect Special
iervice Area Number Two is established to provide a water system
~o said area by the construction and installation of water mains,
Tater lines, hydrants, meters and related appurtenant facilities
~o serve said special service area.
~ECTION FIVE: No Objections to Establishment. No petition
)bjecting to the creation of Village of Mount Prospect Special
~ervice Area Number Two was filed with the Village within sixty
~60) days following April 1, 1980, the date of the adjournment
bf the public hearing held to consider the creation of Village
If Mount Prospect Special Service Area Number Two.
ECTION SIX: Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publica
tion in the manner provided by law.
