AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER
11 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT

IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLA
MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
CTION ONE: Section 11.!02B of Article I of Chapter 11 of the
nicipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect be, and the same i
reby, amended by deleting from the definition of "Broker" as it
~ears in said Section the words "insurance" and "real estate,"
that the definition of Broker as it appears in said Section she
'eafter be and read as follows:
BROKER:
An agent employed to make bargains and contrDcts
for a compensation, which term shall be deemed
to include but shall not be limited to those
aspects of brokerage concerned with pawning,'
securities and stock.
2TION TWO: Section 11.302 of Article III of Chapter 11 of the
nicipal Code of the Village Of MOunt'Prospect be, and the same
hereby, amended by deleting the words "insurance broker" and
~a! estate broker" as those words now appear in said Section, by
leting the term "etc." as it appears in said Section and substit~

that said Section 11.302 shall hereafter be and read as follows
Sec'. 11.302. Broker's LicensR Required% No person
shall act as an agent employed to make bargains and/or
contracts for compensation, as a broker .(pawnbroker,
stock broker, factor, travel agent, and other like
occupations except for real estate and insurance brokers)
except in compliance with the provisions of this Article.
It shall be unlawful for any person to act as such broker
or engage in the brokerage business, in the Village, unless
such person has applied for and obtained a broker's
license from the Village Clerk as provided in Chapter I0
of this Code.
ITION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force ahd effect
and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner
