ORDINANCE NO. 3037
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING ZONING FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 900 EAST CENTENNIAL DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect and Mount Prospect
Dell, an Illinois Limited Partnership, (hereinafter referred
to as the "Petitioners") have filed an application seeking
to amend the zoning classification for a parcel of property
located in the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook and
State of Illinois which is commonly known as 900 East Centennial
Drive and legally described as follows:
In the Village of Mount Prospect~ Wheeling Township,
Cook County, Illinois, the point of beginning being
in the southwest corner of Lot 37 in the Westgate
Garden Subdivision recorded July 27, 1976 as Document
No. 2884068 thence South 200.00 feet thence East 500.00
feet thence North 200.00 feet thence West 500.00 feet
to the point of beinning all in the east half of the
Southwest Quarter, Section 35, Township 42 North,
Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the
Village of Mount Prospect, Wheeling Township, Cook
County, Illinois and generally located at the northerly
edge of Mount Prospect Plaza Shopping Center, Rand Road
and Central Road, in Mount Prospect.
(hereinafter referred to as the "Subject Property"); and
WHEREAS, Petitioners have requested that the Subject Property
be rezoned from the B-3 Business-Retail and Service District
to the R-5 Senior Citizen Residence District under the
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount
Prospect; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Petitioners' request,
known as Case Number ZBA 37-Z-80, before the Zoning Board
of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on July 24, 1980
and was continued to and adjourned on July 29, 1980; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing in Case N.umber ZBA 37-Z-80 was held
pursuant to notice thereof published in the Mount Prospect
Herald on July 8, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that
Petitioners'- request be granted; and
WHEREAS, ~he President and Board of Trustees have considered
the Petitioners' request and find that Petitioners have
satisfied the standards for the grant of rezoning to saidofR-5the
District as set forth in Section 14.2703 of Article XXVII
Zoning Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:

~ECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorpor-
ated as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SEcTIoN TWO: Map 10-N of the zoning map of the Village of
MOunt Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, be, 'and it is hereby,
amended by classifying the following described real estate
in the R-5 Senior Citizen Residence District under the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect:
In the Village of Mount Prospect, Wheeling Township,

SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in the manner provided by law.
