there are things to be read first then an online test. Commission members prior to 2012 have

written information from the Village Finance department. It is attached to the minutes.

contacted and are working logistics out among themselves.
VII. Committee Reports:
a. Maura Reschke provided a final report for the Wine Tasting event held November 10,
2011. 70 individuals attended the event. The final income from the event after
expenses is 521.72. See full report for details.
b. Final report for French Trivia night - Tricia Fusilero -Merci a tout le monde!
Thank you all for supporting the French Trivia Night this year. Despite the weather, we
still had a fair turn out and our guests seemed to enjoy themselves. We raised a total of
$533 which breaks down as follows: $450 at door, $43 at market (that was worth it!!!),
$40 donation (Rachael). I think the only thing that would make this event more
successful is if we can all make a greater effort to invite our friends ... and I am the first to
take on that goal. I will do my best next year to reach out to friends and neighbors
sooner to have at least one full table. Hopefully we can all make that a goal.
A special thanks to Denise as our emcee, Judy & Mark for donating and setting up all of
the tables, Paula & Gary for setting up and managing the beverage station, Lorrie and
Mary Ann for serving as judges, the Mayor for her words of welcome and all board
members who attended and brought guests to enjoy the evening. I also appreciated
those of you who were not able to attend, but donated wine for the event. We missed
Dorothy very much, but hope that she is recovering quickly!
Perhaps one of the activities that we do with our friends from France during their visit can
be a rendition of Trivia Night. I think it would be a fun way for host families, Commission
members and guests to have a good time! Just a thought!
In the meantime, I am looking forward to the potluck dinner! See you all soon and thanks
again.
Tricia

the Commission will bring dishes to share for the event. A full report of the logistics of the
event is attached to the minutes.

several alternatives for a Wine and Cheese event. It appears that David of Dave's
Specialty foods will work with us in planning and executing the event. He has a fee for
his services. Lorrie also spoke to Cosco about using their store as site since Vino 100
has closed. There was some discussion of the possibilities and working with additional
community businesses as possible venues. There was some discussion of the possible

suggestions and the possible date would be in French Week in November.

this event. Bastille Day, July 14 or the week of is the likely first date. Other French film
festivals in Chicago were discussed and could possibly be included in our plans after we
do a movie event and see how it goes.
