The meeting convened at 9:00 a.m. Village Board members present Nyere Mayor Irvana Willcs, Trustee
Paul Hoefert, Trustee John Matuszalc, and Trustee Steven Polit. Representing Staff Nyas Village Manager
Michael Janonis and Community Development Director Bill Cooney.

Mayor Willcs opened the meeting Nvith general remarks, introduced the Trustees in attendance and then
moved to the resident portion of the meeting.
John Ellenberger, Redwood Drive — Mr. Ellenberger stated that he Nyanted to give kudos to the Village
for the effort made on the tree lighting ceremony. He stated that he felt it Nyas a very positive event for
the community and that it Nyas Nyell organized.
Linda and David Hansen, Holly Avenue — Mr. Hansen indicated that he Nyas present to listen to topics
that Nyould be raised at the meeting. He stated that he is retired and that he Nyould like to offer his time
and efforts as a volunteer for any upcoming Village events. There Nyas discussion about opportunities to
volunteer throughout the community.
Ken Koeppen, Linneman Road — Mr. Koeppen inquired about a past practice where the Coffee With
Council meetings Nyere held at various locations throughout the community. There Nyas general
discussion about the history of those mobile Coffee With Council meetings. It Nyas noted that those
meetings Nyere not Nyell attended due to a variety of factors.

Jan Kent, Briarwood Drive — Ms. Kent inquired about the status of the potential annexation of the Lynn
Court area. Mr. Cooney stated that it is still on the Village's radar, but it is not a top priority at the
moment. He stated that there are some technical challenges related to forcibly annexing the property into
toN -,n, but the Village's legal staff Nyas revieNying those to determine the best approach to potentially annex
this area.
Jim Chylik, Locust Lane — Mr. Chylik inquired if there Nyas a fee associated Nvith the online bill
payment for the Village. He Nyas informed that there Nyas not a fee and Nyas encouraged to utilize the
system.
Louis Bowers, Boxwood Drive — Mr. BoNyers inquired N-, the best N-, to recycle some older silver
platted items that he found in his home. The general consensus of the group Nyas that if he put the silver
platted items out on his parkvyay during the appropriate garbage collection time that those items Nyould be
quickly grabbed by passersby or individuals that collect scrap metal.
Ken Greenfield, See Gwun Avenue — Mr. Greenfield indicated that he is a first time participant at
Coffee With Council and Nyas a neNy resident in town. He commented on the Randhurst Village
redevelopment project. He stated Nyhile he Nyas generally pleased Nvith the outcome, he had concerns
regarding traffic patterns around the property. There Nyas general discussion regarding certain elements of
the traffic floNy and a consensus Nyas that there are still N, -eaks that need to be completed to ensure proper
traffic floNy throughout the site.
Carol Tortorello, Elmhurst Avenue — Ms. Tortorello inquired if the Public Works department Nyas still
recycling holiday lights. Mr. Janonis indicated that they Nyere and that residents could bring their lights to
the facility on Central Road.
Clyde and Dee Randmark, Persimmon Lane — Mrs. Randmark stated that she also attended the tree
lighting ceremony, but felt that the audio system Nyas insufficient as she and her grandkids could not hear
the Mayor and others that Nyere speaking at the event. She offered a fey suggestions to improve the event
but felt that it Nyas an excellent addition to the civic events held by the Village. She then inquired about
the status of the Central Plaza property. Mr. Cooney gave a brief history on that property and advised that
he Nyas hopeful that the property Nyould soon be on the market once title issues Nyere clarified.
Steve Van Arsdale, Can Dota Avenue — Mr. Van Arsdale complimented the Village Board on
conducting Coffee With Council meetings. He felt they Nyere a great venue for residents to learn N-, is
going on Nvith the Village and raise any concerns that they may have.
Tom Manion, Edward Street — Mr. Manion inquired if the Village had investigated the health risks
associated Nvith Nyireless technology N-, they considered implementing Nyireless Nyater meter readings.
The Board advised that this Nyas revievyed N-, consideration Nyas given to alloNy the technology and that
there is no proven negative impact on humans.
David Schein, Na Wa Ta Avenue — Mr. Schein stated that there have been several rumors that the Blues
Bar Nyould be closing due to recent articles in the nevyspapers. Mr. Cooney stated that the Blues Bar Nyas
doing Nyell and Nyould not be closing. He stated that there Nyere some lavysuits related to the
redevelopment of that property and that the matters that Nyere in the paper are related to the oN -,nership of
the building, not the bar itself.
Louis Goodman, School Street — Mr. Goodman inquired about the Central Plaza property. He Nyas
advised that the matter had already been discussed earlier, but that the Village Nyas hopeful that the

property Nvould be available for purchase in the upcoming months and redevelopment could take place at
that location.
The meeting Nvas adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
