Minutes of November 3, 2012

Call to Order 9:10 a.m.
Appointments and Resignations Eileen Gattas tendered her resignation effective immediately.
Secretary's Report The Minutes from October 6, 2012 were e- mailed to members in advance. Motion to approve the
Minutes from October 6, 2012 was made by Sandy DiCaro, seconded by Christina Greco. No discussion was held,
motion approved unanimously.
Citizens to Be Heard No comments were made.
Financial Report The Treasurer's Report was distributed by Mike Janonis. There was no discussion and the Treasurer's
Report was accepted as presented.
Do- It- Yourself Sousa Deferred to future meeting.
Christkindlemart This is an add -on to the Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Community Room can hold up to 24 vendors
and applications received are currently at 14. Set -up will be at 2:00 and members are encouraged to give assistance.
House Decorating Preliminary judging will take place November 30 to December 5, finalists should be turned in to Paul
Seils by December 7. Awards will be given at the December 18 board meeting. Linda Hoefert will do the presentations
at that meeting. Beside the awards winners will be given $25. Gift Cards for their participation. This is going to be used
as an incentive to participate.
Celestial Celebration The theme: Celebrating 20 Years of Shining Stars. Serendipity will play 2 hours for $350. The
timeline for the evening still needs to be finalized. Those vendors that need to be booked have been booked. Diners
will have three options for dinner: chicken, eggplant or pork. There will be a cash bar — no tickets will be needed.
Centerpieces will now be the property of the SEC and will not be a give -away item. Lapel pins are the give -away item at
a cost of $1.25 per pin. New this year will be a Cigar Bar base fee $150. with a per cigar charge of $8. With each cigar
sold the SEC portion will be $2. those proceeds will remain in the SEC treasury. Tables are set for 12 at a cost of $45.
per ticket or $540. for the table.
