IV DISCUSSION ON CAMP MCDONALD ROAD JURISDICTIONAL TRANSFER
The Cook County Highway Department ts proposing to tmprove Camp McDonald
Road from Rand Road m Arhngton Heights to Des Plaines River Road As a
precondmon to improving the road, the County ts reqmnng the affected
mumc~pahtles to accept a jurisdictional transfer If a decision is made to accept
the junsdmtmnal transfer, the Village would recommend that The road be
upgraded to three lanes (the middle lane to be used as a turn lane), that the road
be paved m concrete w~th curb and gutter, and that the storm sewer system be
fully enclosed, eliminating d~tchas Affected residents have been notified and were
requested to attend th~s meeting w~th their ideas
V HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE
The Chamber of Commerce has requested that the Vdlage pass an Ordinance to
allow home occupations Materials provided by the Chamber and a report by the
Planning and Zoning Director are attached If a decision is made to allow home
occupations, a hcense fee of $35 is recommended to cover the costs for registering
and regulating these home occupatmns
VI DISCUSSION OF EMERGENCY WATER MAIN REPAIRS
Emergency repairs are necessary on the Route 83 watermam from Lonnqmst to
Golf Road It ~s deteriorated and there are frequent breaks The Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency is refusing to issue a Permit They clann the
sewers are too close to the proposed water mmn which would be placed in the
same locatmn as the existing water main Staff has been m contact with the IEPA
and has been told that they view the repair as reconstruction and wish the Village
to e~ther move the line further into Route 83 (which would block two southbound
lanes of traffic and IDOT vail not give us a Permit) or hne the storm line at a
cost of approximately $75,000 This work already will cost $248,170 and the added

VII SALE OF PROPERTy ,4T 443 RAND ROAD September 11, 1990
The Committee needs to discuss whether to accept one of the three b~ds for the
Vdlage owned property at 443 Rand Road The bids were as follows David
Cohen, $15,000, John Stanley, $30,100 and Francis Caddlac, $50,025
If the Committee recommends accepting one of the bids, the Committee will also
have to discuss the appropriate percentage of the proceeds of the sale that should
be returned to residents of the Special Serwce Area
