AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN SURPLUS
MUNICIPALLY OWNED PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ~
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of
the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect,
Illinois, it is no longer necessary, or useful to, or for
the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to re-
tain the items of personal property owned by the Village
and hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Municipal Conference has scheduled
an auction to be held on the 8th day of May, 1982 for the
purpose allowing the municipal members of the conference to
offer unused and surplus personal property items for sale;
'and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of this
Village that the personal property items hereinafter described
be offered for sale at this auction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK, COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS':
SECTION ONE: In accordance with the provisions of Section
11-76-4 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the
Corporate Authorities of this Village find that the items of
personal property set forth and described in Exhibit A, which
is attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance by ref-
erence,' is property owned by the Village of Mount Prospect
which is no longer necessary or useful to the Village, and said
prOperty is therefore surplus property and the best interests
of the Village will be served by its sale.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village
Manager of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized
and directed to offer said items of personal property for
sale at the auction to be held by the Northwest Municipal
Conference on the the 8th day of May, 1982 at 12:00 A.M.
at the Wheeling Municipal Building, 255 West Dundee Road,
Wheeling, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, by at least three-fourths
of all the Corporate Authorities, and approval in the manner
provided by law.
