RDINANCE NO. 9264
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIFIED VARIATION FOR
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1761 CORKTREE LANE,
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lococo, owners of certain prop-
erty ~ereinafter described, located at 1161 Corktree Lane, in
the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, have filed an appli-
catfon seeking a variation for the provisions of Section 14.1102
of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois,
pertaining to the minimum rear yard area required in an R-1
Single Family Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is described as follows:
Lot 429 in Brickman Manor Second Addition
Unit No. 1 being a subdivision of part of
the Northwest Quarter of Section 25', Town-
ship 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
and
WHEREAS, Petitioners seek a variation from the minimum
twenty-five foot rear yard requirement, as defined and set
forth in said Section 14.1102.C'to allow an encroachment of
approximately thirteen feet into said required rear yard
area in order to add a room addition to Petitioners' residence
structure; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Petitioners' request
for variation (designated as Case No. ZBA-23-V-82) before the
Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on
the 26th day of August, 1982, pursuant to due and proper
notice thereof published in the Mount Prospect Herald, on
August 10, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its
finding and recommendation to the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect regarding the said variation request;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of t~e Village
of Mount Prospect have determined that the Petitioners' varia-
tion request satisfies the standards set forth in Section
14.605 of Article VI of the Zoning Ordinance, and further
find that it would be in the best interests of the Village
to grant to the Petitioners the requested variation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporate
herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustee~
of th~ Village of Mount Prospect.
ECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect do hereby grant to the property
hereinabove described the variation requested with respect
to Section 14.1102(C) of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, to allow the encroachment of a
room addition of approximately thirteen feet into the re-
quired twenty-five foot minimum rear yard setback area.
SECTION THREE: Except for the variation, granted herein, all
other applicable Villag~ .of Mount Prospect Ordinances and
Regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the
subject property.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and ef-
fect from and after its passage, approval, and publication
in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
