AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A
SPECIAL USE TO ALLOW THE OPERATION OF A
GAME ROOM CONTAINING MORE THAN SIX AMUSE-
MENT DEVICES IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FULL
SERVICE FAncILY RESTAURANT ON CERTAIN PROP-
ERTY LOCATED IN THE B-4 BUSINESS, RETAIL
AND SERVICE DISTRICT, AS ZONED, IN THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
I~EREAS, Show Biz Pizza Place, Inc., the Petitioner herein,
has made application for a special use with respect to certain
property zoned and classified in the B-4 Business, Retail and
Service District and developed as a planned unit development
therein, for the purpose of operating and maintaining a game too
containing more than six amusement devices to be operated in
conjunction with a family entertainment restaurant consisting
of full-meal restaurant facilities and entertainment, pursuant
to the provisions of Section 14.2101.C of Chapter 14 of the
Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is located at 1500 South
Elmhurst Road and is legally described as follows:
Parcel No. 1
That part of the South East quarter of the South East quarter of Section 14,
Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described
as follows: Beginning at a point 12 chains South of the North East corner of
said South East quarter of the South East quarter of said Section 14; thence
West 11.5 chains; thence South 2.35 chains; thence West 8.50 chains to the West
line of said South East quarter of the South East quarter; thence South 5.65
chains to the South West corner of said South East quarter of the South East
quarter; thence East 20 chains to the South East corner of said Section 14;
thence North 8.0 chains to the point of beginning (except therefrom that part
of the South East quarter of the South East quarter of Section 14, Township 41
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as fellows:
Beginning at the South West corner of said South East quarter of the South East
quarter; thence North along the West line of said South East quarter of the
South East quarter 385.20 feet; thence East 562.28 feet to a point 385.38 feet
North of the South line of said Section 14; thence South 385.38 feet to a point
in the South line of said Section 14 which is 562.0 feet East of the South West
corner of said South East quarter of the South East quarter; thence West along
the South line of said Section 14 to a point of beginning and except therefrom
the East 210 feet of the South 220 feet of the South East quarter of the South
East quarter of Section 14, aforesaid, and except therefrom that part of the
East 50 feet of the South East quarter of the South East quarter of Section 14,
aforesaid, which lies North of the South 220 feet of the South East quarter of
the South East quarter of Section 14, aforesaid, and South of the North line of
the hereinabove described tract of ]and), in Cook County, Illinois.

Lot 2, except the East 200.00 feet (measured perpendicularly) of the North
145.00 feet (measured along the East line thereof) in Kenroy's Huntington being
a Subdivision of part of the East half of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range
Meridian, in Cook County, rllinois, Parcel 1 and
11 East of the Third Principal

Subdivision being a Subdivision of part of the East half of Section 14, Township
41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois dated April 19, 1973 and recorded May 16, 1973, as document No.
22327173..
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said Special Use
Application (designated as Case No. ZBA-26-~U-82) before the
Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on
September 2, 1982 pursuant to proper publication of due notice
thereof in the Mount Prospect Herald on August 16, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its
finding and recommendation to the Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have con-
sidered the Special Use Application and have determined that
the subject property complies with the standards set forth
in Section 14.704 of said Chapter 14 regarding a special use,
and that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect
would be obtained by the adoption of a necessary ordinance
to approve and authorize the said special use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorpor-
ated herein as findings of fact by the PreSident and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: A special use for the subject property described
above to allow the operation of a game room containing more
than six amusement devices to be operated in conjunction with
a family-entertainment restaurant consisting of full-meal
restaurant facilities within the B-4 Business, Retail and
Service District, pursuant to Subsection C of Section 14.2101
of said Chapter 14 is hereby approved.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effec
upon its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form
in the manner provided by law.
