ORDINANCE mO. 3270
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths (3/4) of the
coroporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is
no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of
the Village of Mount Prospect, to retain ownership of the
personal property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount to sell said personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois
Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4, the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that
the following described property:
One (1) KARDVEYER Model No. 50101-12 Serial ~2135
now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect and is no longer
necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the
best interests of the Village will be served by its sale.
SECTION TWO: That pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the
Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the
aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of
Mount Prospect to the highest bidder therefor. Sale sale
shall be conducted through the receipt of sealed bids.
SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned peronsal
property in a newspaper published within the community not
less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said bid opening.
SECTION FOUR: The Village of Mount Prospect reserves the
right to reject sany and all bids on the personal property
being the subject of the Ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an agreement for the said sale of
the subject personal property which shall be advertised for
by publishing the following notice once in the Mount Prospect
Daily Herald, which notice shall be in substantially the
following form:
" NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Mount Prospect
Cook County, Illinois, will receive bids at the Office
of the Village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street,
Mount Prospect, Illinois, until 10:00 A.M. on
Thursday, October 26, 1982, at which time the bid
proposals for the purchase of the item listed will be
opened and publicly read. Any such proposals shall be
accompanied by earnest money in case, certified check,
or cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the bid.
One (1) KARVEYER, Model No. 50101 12, Serial No. 2135
Minimum bid on this item is $2,000.00
Prospective bidders add interested persons may review
the subject property to be sold at the Police Department

Public Safety Building, 112 East Northwest Highway,
Mount Prospect, Illinois during regular business
hours. The Village of Mount Prospect reserves the
rith to reject any and all bids.

SECTION SIX: That, upon payment of the full price, the
Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to convey
and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property, to
the successful bidder.
SECTION SEVEN: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
