AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIFIED VARIATION
FOR THE BETHESDA LUTHERAN HOME PROPERTY AT
1318-1320 LIegEMAN ROAD, IN THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Bethesda Lutheran Home, owners of certain
property hereinafter described, located at 1318-1320 Linneman
Road, in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, has filed
an application seeking a variation from the provisions of
Sections 14.1302.A and 14.2602.B regarding front yard require-
ments in an R-2 Duplex Residence District and permitted ob-
structions therein, as contained in Chapter 14 of the Village
Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, to allow for the continuation
of an existing encroachment of three existing parking spaces
in the front yard area of the Applicant's property in order
to provide a continuation of off-street parking space; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is described as follows:
Lot 2 in Richard Springstone's Re-subdivision
of Lots 298 and 299 in Elk Grove Villa, Unit
NO. 5, recorded 4/18/72 as Document No. 2618100,
in the S.W. 1/4 of Section 14, Township 41 North,
Range 11 East, of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Cook County, Illinois.
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said variation
request (designated as Case No. ZBA-42-V-82) before the Zoning
Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the
7th day of October, 1982, pursuant to due and proper notice
thereof published in the Mount Prospect Herald, on September 20,
1982; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its
finding and recommendati6n to the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect to grant said variation request;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect have determined %hat 'the variation request
satisfies the standards set forth in Section 14.605 of Article
VI of the Zoning Ordinance, and further find that it would be
in the best interests of the Village to grant to the Applicant
the requested variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporate,
herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustee~
of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees Of the Village
of Mount Prospect do hereby grant to the property hereinabove
described the variation requested with respect to Sections
4.1302oA and 14o2602.B of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of
Mount Prospect, Illinois,'~to allow the existing encroachment
of three parking spaces in the front yard area of the Applicant's
premises for use in continuing to provide off-street parking
space in said front yard area.
SECTION THREE: Except for the variation granted herein~'ail
other applicable Village of Mount Prospect Ordinances and Reg-
ulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the subject
property.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
