ORDINANCE NO. 3332
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF WHEELING ROAD,
EXTENDED, LOCATED IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, Chapter 24, 11-91-1 of the Illinois Revised Statutes
(1981) authorizes the vacation of any municipal street or
alley, or part thereof, by passage of an ordinance by the
corporate authorities of a municipality; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect find that the public interest will be served by
vacating that portion of Wheeling Road, extended, which
portion to be vacated is located north of Hill Street, more
accurately described herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VITa. AGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOI
SECTION ONE: The President and Board of Trustees find and
determine that it is in the public interest and the interest
of the Village of Mount Prospect that the portion of Wheeling
Road, extended, as described as follows, be vacated:
The East 50 feet of the North 627.50 feet of the
Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 35, Township 42, Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, recorded as Document
No. 24939184, April 30, 1979, on the Hill Street
Plat of Subdivision; which ~acation is a part
of the Hill Street Plat of Re-Subdivision, attached
hereto, all lying in Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois
SECTION TWO: That the territory being the subject of
this vacation shall revert back to the party having granted
the dedication of the proposed roadway, and by way of the
Hill Street Plat of Re-Subdivision attached hereto, shall
be incorporated into said Hill Street Re-Subdivision.
SECTION THREE: That upon passage and approval of this Ordinanc
the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file
a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with the
Hill Street Plat of Re-Subdivision attached hereto,with
the Recorder of Deeds'of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION THP~EE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
