Norwood Builders has requested the opportunity to share
with the Village Board its receipt of the Crystal Key Award
from the Home Builders Association of the Greater Chicago
for the Village Centre community currently under construction
in downtown Mount Prospect.

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance deletes the Class "XX" liquor license (License with special
conditions) issued to Bella Capri Restaurant, 1724 W. Golf Road.
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance increases the number of Class "S" (Restaurant with lounge)
liquor licenses by one for Vita Mia Italian Restaurant, 1724 W. Golf Road,
which is under new ownership.

2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 216 YATES LANE
This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit to allow a circular driveway.
The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended denial of the
request by a vote of 7-0, therefore a super majority vote is required from
the Village Board for approval.

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 922 SOUTH NA-WA-TA AVENUE
This ordinance grants a Conditional use permit to allow the installation of
a parking pad. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
approval of the request by a vote of 6-0.

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 503 NORTH FOREST AVENUE
This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit for the construction of an
unenclosed front porch encroaching 2'2" into the required front yard setback.
The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the
request by a vote of 6-0.

PZ-33-02, Text Amendments, Village of Mount Prospect
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 (ZONING)
OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT VILLAGE CODE
This ordinance amends the Zoning Code by:
1) modifying storage shed regulations (approved 5-1);
2) creating regulations that require residential property owners to
construct a garage when modifying an existing garage into living space
(denied 4-2);
3) eliminating the requirement that the legal description of a property be
included in a public notice (approved 6-0).
The Planning and Zoning Commission has made the above recommendations.

REQUEST FOR DETERMINATION OF ESTIMATED PROPERTY TAX LEVY
FOR THE YEAR 2002 (PAYABLE IN 2003) FOR BOTH MUNICIPAL AND
LIBRARY PURPOSES
The Property Tax Reform Act requires the corporate authorities of local
governments to determine the amount of property taxes expected to be
needed at least thirty (30) days prior to the adoption of the actual levy
ordinance. A notice of the increase and the public hearing will then be
published in a local newspaper.
PUBLIC HEARING
This Public Hearing, called pursuant to proper legal notice having been
published in the Daily Herald on October 24, 2002, is held for the
purpose of considering the use of a $12,173 Local Law Enforcement
Block Grant to purchase technology or equipment directly related to
basic law enforcement functions.
