ORDINANCE NO. 3419
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE
OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
'HEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the
zorporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it
is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best
interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, to retain
)wnership of the personal property hereinafter described;
and
~HEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and Board of
Frustees of th~ Village of Mount Prospect to sell said
~ersonal property at a public auction to be held on Saturday,
~ay 19, 1984, at 10:30 A.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE'MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
LLINOIS:
iECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois
Municipal Code, Illinois Revis'ed Statutes, C24, Section
11-76-4, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect find that the personal property described in
the attached "Exhibit A" now owned by the Village of Mount
Prospect, is' no longer necessary or useful to the Village
of Mount Prospect and the best interests of the Village of
Mount Prospect will be served by its sale.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village
Manager or his designate is hereby authorized and directed to
sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the
Village of Mount Prosp'ect, at public auction on Saturday,
May 19, 1984, at 10:30 A.M. at the Public Works Garage,
11 South Pine Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized
may advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal
property in a newspaper published within the community
before the date of said public auction.

SECTION FOUR: No offer which is less than the minimUm price
set forth in the list of property to be sold shall be
accepted.
SECTION FIVE: Upon payment of the full price, the Village
Manager or his designate is hereby authorized and directed
to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal
property to the purchaser.
SECTION SIX: Any items remaining unsold after the above
date may be disposed of by the Village Manager or his
designate in a manner which is in the best interests of
the Village.
ECTION SEVEN: This ordinance shall be in full force and
~fect from and after its passage, by a vote of at least
~hree-fourths of the corporate authorities, and approval
~n the manner provided by law.
