LAND LYING IN SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11
EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS

N ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
LAND LYING IN SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11
EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a written petition under oath signed by all the owners
of record'of the land hereinafter described, there being no
electors residing thereon, has been filed with the Village Clerk
of the Village of Mount Prospect requesting that said land be
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, said land is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best
interest of the Village of Mount Prospect that the said land
and territory be annexed to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as
Follows, to wit:
Laich's Subdivision of the North 10 acres of the
South 15 acres of the West Half of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 23, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, except the
West 662.08 feet thereof in Cook County, Illinois
an accurate map of which territory is attached hereto and made
a part hereof by this reference, be, and the same is hereby
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to record in the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds, or Registrar of Titles, whichever is applicable, of
Cook County, Illinois, and to file in the Office of the County
Clerk of Cook County, Illinois, a copy of this Ordinance,
together with an accurate map of the territory annexed.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.

Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois,
and that the within and foregoing Notice was served on the
Trustees of the Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection District,
Elk Grove Township Highway Commissioner and Board of Town Auditors
of Elk Grove Township by certified mail, return receipt requested,
on November 21, 1984, and that such Notice was served at least
ten (10) days prior to the consideration by the corporate
authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect of the
annexation of the property legally described in said Notice~

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
ELK GROVE RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

Highway Commissioner
Trustees of the Elk Grove Rural Fire
Protection District
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-1 of Chapter 24
of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended, you and each
of you, as Trustees of the Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection
District, Town Auditor and Highway Commissioner are hereby
notified that on December 4, 1984, the corporate authorities
of the Village of Mount Prospect will consider the
annexation of certain property within the corporate limits
of the Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection District at a regular
meeting of said corpora'te authorities of the Village of
Mount Prospect.in the Board Room of the Public Safety Building,
112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, Illinois, at the
hour of 8:00 P.M., which property is legally described as:
Of the North 10 acres of the South 15 acres of the West
Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 41
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian
except that part dedicated for Kenneth Drive and also
except the West 612.08 feet thereof in Cook County, Illinois.
At the aforesiad time and place you may appear and be heard in
connection with the aforesaid proposed annexation.
