ORDINANCE NO. 3516
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
VARIATIONS GRANTED BY VILLAGE ORDINANCE NO. 3401 TO
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2000 SOUTH ELMHURST ROAD,
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT~ ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, on March 6, 1984 the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect granted certain variations
to Ensrec Corporation to allow parking in the required west rear
yard area, to reduce the number of parking spaces for a car wash
operation, and to eliminate the need for off-street truck loading
for each building located on property commonly known as 2000 South
Elmhurst Road in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.604(B) of Article VI of Chapter 14 of
the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois provides that said
variations must be implemented within the period of one year
following adoption of the Ordinance granting the same in order to De
valid; and
WHEREAS, the Ensrec Corporation, due to time consuming
problems in completing acquisition of title to the Subject Property
has been unable to implement the granted variations, and therefore
has sought an extension of one year to enable it to accomplish this
task; and
WHEI~EAS, this request has been the subject of a public
hearing designated as Case No. ZBA 17-V-85 by the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect pursuant to the puD±ication
of proper notice thereof, and the Zoning Board of Appeals has
recommended that an extension be allowed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT A~D BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect do hereby grant to the the Petitioner an
extension of one year to implement the variations granted by Village
Ordinance No. 3401.
SECTION THREE: Except for the extension of the variations
granted herein, all other applicable Village of Mount Prospect
Ordinances and Regulations shall remain in full force and effect as
to the Subject Property.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
