OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT

RDINANCE NO. 3626
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY
PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the
corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no
longer necessary or useful to or for the beat interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal
property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal
property at a public auction to be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday, May 10, 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois
Municipal Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4
the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
find that the following described personal property:

now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer
necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect, and the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served
by its sale.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village
Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the
aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of
Mount Prospect, at public auction on Saturday, May 10, 1986 at
the Arlington Heights Public Works Facility, 222 North Ridge,
Arlington Heights, Illinois, to the highest bidder on said
personal property.
SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized
and may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to advertise
the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper
published within the community before the date of said public
auction.
SECTION FOUR: No bid which is less than the minimum price
set for in the list of property to be sold shall be accepted.
SECTION FIVE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and
may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to enter into an
agreement for the sale of said personal property. The auction
shall be conducted and the auctioneer shall be compensated in the
manner set forth in the contract attached hereto and made a part
off this ordinance.
SECTION SIX: No bid which is less than the minimum value
set forth in list of property to be sold shall be accepted,
unIess a Iower amount is authorized by the Viiiage Manager or
his representative at the auction.
SECTION SEVEN: Upon payment of the full auction price, the
Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to convey and
transfer title to the aforesaid pereonal property, to the
euecessful bidder.
SECTION EIGHT: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, by e vote of at least
three-fourths of the corporate authorities, and approval in the
manner provided by law.
