AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE
OF PERSONAL PROPERTY'OWNED BY THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PRd'SPECT
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the
corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no
longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect, to retain ownership of the personal
property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal
property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, May 17,
1986, at 10:30 A.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois
Municipal Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4,
the Mayor and 8oard of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect find that the personal property described in the
attached "Exhibit A" now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect,
is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount
Prospect and the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect
will be served by its sale.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village
Manager or bis designate is hereby authorized and directed to
sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the
Village of Mount Prospect, a~ public auction on Saturday, May 17,
1986, at 10:30 A.M. at the Public Works garage, 11 South Pine
Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and
may advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in
a newspaper published within the community before the oate of
said public auction.
SECTION FOUR: No offer which is less than the minimum price
'set forth in the list of property to be sold shall be accepted.
SECTION FIVE: Upon payment of the full price, the Village
Manager or his designate zs hereby authorized and directed to
convey and transfer titIe to the aforesaid personaI property to
the purchaser.
SECTION SlX: Any items remaining unsold after the above date
may be disposed of by the Village Manager or his designate in a
manner which is in the best interests of the Village.
SECTION SEVEN: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after it's passage, by a vote of at least
three-fourths of the corporate authozities, and approval in the
manner provided by law.
