AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR CERTAIN
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 313 BOBBY LANE IN
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Anthony and Rose Corona have filed an application for
variations with respect to property commonly known as 313 Bobby
Lane, in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois (the "Subject
Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is described as follows:
Lot 7 in Gettysburg Estates, being a subdivision
of part of the Southwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4
of Section 11, Township 41 North~ Range 11, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois
WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks a variation from the following
provisions of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect,
Illinois, to allow the construction of a three-car garage instead of
the two car garage permitted pursuant to Section 14.1101.B.3 of
Article XI and being 690 square feet in size instead of the 600
square feet permitted pursuant to Section 14.102.B.4 of Article I
with a circular driveway pursuant to Section 14.116.A of Article I
and to be constructed to a width of 30 feet in lieu of 18 feet in
width permitted as provided by Section 14.116.C of Article I,
Chapter 14; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the variation requests
(designated as Case No. ZBA-13-V-86) before the Zoning Board of·
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 24th day of April,
1986, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published in the
Mount Prospect Herald on the 31st day of March, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect to allow certain of the requested
variations and has recommended denial of the variation for the
circular driveway, and the President ~nd Board of Trustees of the
Village have given further consideration to the variation requests
and have determined that all such variation requests satisfy the
standards set forth in Section 14.605 of Article VI of Chapter 14 of
the Village Code, and this Board further finds that it would be in
the best interest of the Village to grant the request for variations.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect hereby grant to the Subject Property
the variations requested with respect to allowing the construction
of a three-car garage instead of the two car garage permitted
pursuant to Section 14.1101.B.3 of Article XI and 690 square feet
mn size instead of 600 square feet permitted pursuant to Section
14.102.B.4 of Article I and the construction of a circular
driveway pursuant to Section 14.116.A of Article I to be
constructed to a w±dth of 30 feet in lieu of 18 feet in width
permitted as provided by Section 14.116.C of Article I, Chapter
14 w±th the North driveway tapered to a width of 18 feet at the front
property line and with the South driveway tapered to a width of
12 feet at the front property line and with the further conditions
that said driveways are not to be located within four (4) feet from
either side property line and that no sheds or other accessory
buildings are to be permitted on the Subject Property.
SECTION THREE: Except for the variations granted herein,
all other applicable Village of Mount Prospect Ordinances and
Regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the
Subject Property.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effec~ from and after i~s passage, approval and publication mn
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
