AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Article II of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of the
Village of Moun't Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby
further amended in its entirety; so that hereafter the said Article II
of Chapter 5 shall be and read as Allows:

Sec. 5.201. Election of Members. There shall be elected a Li-
brary Board of Trustees consisting of seven (7)
members who shall serve for six (6) years as is provided by Statute.
Sec. 5.202. Powers, Duties and Tax Authority. The Library Trus-
tees shall have such powers and duties as that
given to them by Statute, including the levy of the special library tax
which shall be levied and collected each year as is provided by Statute.
Sec. 5.203. Reports. The Board of Library Trustees shall make
a report of the financial condition of the library
within fifteen (15) days after the termination of the fiscal year of the
Village; this report shall be filed with the Board of Trustees and
shall be made in the manner provided for by law. A copy of this report
shall also be filed with the Illinois State Library at the same time, as
is also provided by law. The Board shall also make such other reports
as may be requested from time to time by the Board of Trustees of the
Village.
Sec. 5.204. Rules and Regulations. The Board of Library Trus-
tees shall have the power to make reasonable rules
and regulations governing the use of the library and may exclude from
the library any person or persons who wilfully and continually violate
such rules."
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner pro-
vided by law,
