IV. PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ELECTRIC AGGREGATION
1S public hearing for the Plan of Operation and Governance for Aggregation of Electric
Power for Residential and Small Commercial Retail Users. This public hearing, called
pursuant to proper legal notice having been published in the Daily Herald on April 26, 2012
and May 2, 2012. The Plan details how the Village will administer the electrical aggregation
program, which residents and small commercial retail users may participate as well as bid
procedures.
V. NORTHWEST SUBURBAN HOUSING COLLABORATIVE -HOMES FOR A CHANGING
REGION HOUSING STUDY
The Northwest Suburban Housing Collaborative was formed in 2011 to assist its five
member municipalities (Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Mount Prospect, Palatine, and
Rolling Meadows) develop regional solutions to address the short and long -term housing
needs of the region.
The Collaborative was able to secure grant funding in order to perform a Homes for a
Changing Region planning study. The study is intended to work with each municipality on
performing a future housing supply and demand analysis to identify future housing needs.
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning is leading the study with assistance from the
Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and the Metropolitan Planning Council. Members from each
organization will be in attendance to provide an overview of the current housing market in
Mount Prospect and discuss future housing trends.
