1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 (ALCOHOLIC
LIQUORS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE BY CREATING A CLASS "MH"
LIQUOR LICENSE
This ordinance amends the Village Code by creating a liquor license
Classification that will allow hotels to maintain a hospitality room where
beer and wine may be served on a complimentary basis during limited
specific hours.

enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of those items unless a
Board member, or resident from the audience, so requests, in which event the item will
be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda.
OLD BUSINESS

2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 306 NORTH OWEN STREET
This ordinance grants variations for the construction of an oversized garage
encroaching into the side yard. The Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended denial of the request by a vote of 6-0, therefore a super-majority
vote is required from the Village Board for approval. (This case was
deferred from the June 4, 2002 Village Board meeting).

NEW BUSINESS
A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 (STREETS AND
SIDEWALKS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance amends Chapter 9 of the Village Code by clarifying ownership
and maintenance responsibilities for trees growing on or near property lines
between public rights-of-way and private property.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
TO ADOPT A TREE RISK POLICY STATEMENT
*A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND NICOR GAS
FOR THE COLLECTION OF A NATURAL GAS USE TAX
*A RESOLUTION REQUESTING CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF
CENTRAL ROAD IN ORDER TO CONDUCTA PARADE
This resolution, required by the State of Illinois, authorizes the temporary
closure of specific streets for the 4th of July parade.
