Chairman Adam Kicl called the January 04, 2012 Mount Prospect Youth Commission meeting to order at 7:03
p.m. in the first floor training room of the Policc and Fire Headquarters, Mount Prospect, Illinois.

No members nIthe Issues Committee were uthe meeting so Adult Advisor George Clowc, reported nuthe
status nI the summary. No progress m report nuthe narrative description nI youth services iuthe Vil|a(Icm
(1uthcdu- information nu youth services iu surrounding cnmmuuitic,. Although some additional on-line surveys
were completed during the past month, the number of youth responses is still quite low and the Issues Committee
needs about 40 more youth responses for meaningful analysis nIresults.

Ms. Rencc Ncumcicr suggested setting up a table at the library and the Community Connections Ccntcr during
after school hours and she would be willing to help with this activity. Adult Advisor George Clowcs will
coordinate with Issues Committee members. Chairman Adam Kicl offered to help with the gathering of
responses.

Updating of Youth Commission Flyer
Jacyln Stasscn and Dclanic Stcinwcg circulated a new version of the Youth Commission flyer for comments.
Village Electric Display Board
Jacyln Stasscn reported she had tried to reserve the Village Board through the Village websitc but had no
success. Adult Advisor Stcvcn Polit recommended she contact Public Information Officcr Maura El Mctcnnani
for assistance.
Updating of Youth Commission Website
Updating in progress, changes will be sent to Villagc Clark Lisa Angcll and Public Information Officcr Maura El
Mctcnnani.
YOUTH RESOURCES COMMITTEE

Updating of Youth Resource Catalog
Chairman Rachcl Ottc reported that updates were complete and the new catalogs will be printed.
Spanish Version Youth Resource Catalog
Chairman Ottc advised the Committee has a Spanish teacher lined up to check this version of the catalog.
Smart Phone Date Sticker
It was found it would cost more to print the Smart Phonc stickers and put them on the old Youth Resource
catalogs than print the new catalogs with the Smart Phone design. The Committee recommended printing new
catalogs.
OLD BUSINESS
MEETINGS OF VILLAGE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
A sheet was circulated for members to sign up to attend upcoming meetings of Villagc Boards and
Commissions.
