in the third floor Executive Conference Room of Village Hall, 50 South Emerson, by
Mayor Pro -Tem Steven Polit. Those present at the Closed Session were: Trustees Paul
Hoefert, Arlene Juracek, John Korn, John Matuszak, and Michael Zadel. Staff present
included Village Manager Michael Janonis, Assistant Village Manager David Strahl, Fire
Chief John Dahlberg and Finance Director David Erb.
Personnel Discussion
Police Chief Dahlberg provided an overview of the revised organizational chart of the
pending layoffs incorporated into the chart. He also highlighted the changes in the
operations and specialties. He further highlighted the change in supervisory personnel
Manager Janonis provided an overview to the Village Board regarding the layoff
notices and the process that will be underway at the end of the week.
Chief Dahlberg left the meeting at this time.
Litigation Discussion
Village Manager Janonis provided a general discussion regarding Huang vs. Village of
Mount Prospect fora trip,and fall case. He stated that the case is up for a status hearing
at the end of the week. He is requesting Village Board authorization up to $75,000 to
settle the case. The Board authorized the settlement amount.
Meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.M. moved into Open Session and immediately adjourned.
