This case was continued from the last meeting of the Village
Board in order to give the Petitioner an opportunity to
consider an alternative to the plan which included a
request for a variation to permit a 2 story addition 4 feet
from the exterior side yard for a garage and living quarters.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting the
request to allow the garage to be constructed 4 feet from
the lot line but eliminate the 2nd floor living space over
the proposed garage.
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. Safety Commission recommendations
1. Request for 3-way STOP at Marina & Council Trail.
Safety Commission recommends denial by a vote of 8-0
2. Increase speed limit on Busse Avenue between
We-Go Trail and Weller Lane from 20 to 25 MPH. The
Safety Commission recommends denial by a vote of 8-0.
3. Request to establish the following traffic restricts around
Robert Frost Elementary School (south) on school days
only between 8:30 & 9:30 AM and 3:00 - 4:00 PM:
a. One-way for westbound traffic on Frost Drive
between Cypress and Circle;
b. One-way for southbound Circle between Frost
and Cottonwood;
c. Prohibit turns from Cottonwood onto Circle.
The Safety Commission recommends approval.
4. Delete 2 hour parking on the west side of Maple Street
for 100 feet south of Central and create "No Parking
Any Time". The Safety Commission recommends
approval by a vote of 8-0.
5. Request for 3-way STOP for north and southbound
Meadow at Stratford; for north and southbound
Wedgewood at Stratford; and, for westbound Stratford
at Meadow and eastbound Stratford at Wedgewood.
The Safety Commission offered no recommendation
on this request.
6. Request for 3-way STOP at Sunset and Louis. The
Safety Commission recommends denial by a vote of
8-0.
X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Bid result:
1. Briarwood Watermain Replacement Project Phase III
2. Reject the one bid received for parkway trees in order
to re-bid this item.
