HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 29-86 08/05/1986 RESOLUTION NO~ 29-86 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND WICKES COMPANIES, INC. WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is the owner of a certain jogging path located in the Kensington Center for Business; and WHEREAS, Wickes Companies, Inc. is the owner of property located within the Kensington Center for Business; and WHEREAS, Wickes Companies, Inc. has requested the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect to enter into an Indemnification Agreement, indemnifying the Village from any and all responsibility resulting from the encroachment of a parking lot across Village owned property known as the jogging path. WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined that it would be in the best interests of the Village to enter into an indemnification agreement with Wickes Companies, Inc., holding the Village harmless as a result of said encroachment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and the Clerk authorized to attest her signature on the Agreement between the Village of Mount Prospect and Wickes Companies, Inc. indemnifying and holding the Village harmless as a result of an encroachment across Village owned property commonly known as the jogging path within the Kensington Center for Business. SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law. AYES: Arthur, Floras, Murauskis, Van Geem, Wattenberg NAYS: None ABSENT: Farley PASSED and APPROVED this 5th day of August , 1986.
