ORDINANCE NO. 3714
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
OF 1981 FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect has determined a need exists to amend the
official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect as
adopted April 8, 1981; and
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission of the Village of Mount
Prospect, as authorized under Chapter 24, Article 11-12-7 of the
Illinois Revised Statutes, has made recommendations for the
amendment to the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount
Prospect of 1981; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 24, Article 11-12-7 of the
Illinois Revised Statues, the Village Board of the Village of
Mount Prospect did conduct a public hearing on November 5, 1986,
pursuant to proper legal notice being published in the Mount
Prospect Herald on October 22, 1986; and
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Plan
Commission held October 15, 1986, the Plan Commission did
recommend to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect that the Comprehensive Plan of 1981, be amended
to include the specified amendments hereinbelow stated and said
Comprehensive Plan of 1981, as amended, be adopted by the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect concur in the Plan Commission's recommendation,
baying reviewed the matter herein; and have determined that the
same is in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The property located on the East side of Wolf
Road, North of Kensington Road, South of Euclid, and West of the
Commonwealth Edison Right-Of-Way shall be reclassified from
Industrial/Office to Single Family Residential and Community
Commercial at the corner of Wolf and Kensington (for a distance
of 290 feet North and 690 feet East).
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to the authority vested in the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of mount Prospect
under Article VII of the 1970 Constitution of the State of
Illinois, and Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the
Official Cpmprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect, as
amended, shall be further amended to include the amendment set
forth in Section One hereinabove.
SECTION THREE: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect be and is hereby directed to file notice of the amend-
ment of this Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount
Prospect, with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds, as provided by
the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
SECTION FOUR: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect be and is hereby directed to publish in pamphlet form
said Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount
Prospect, with the amendments specified herein, pursuant to the
Statutes of the State of Illinois, made and provided.
SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form, in the manner provided by law.
