AN ORDINANCE VACATING A CERTAIN VILLAGE OWNED
RIGHT-OF-WAY COMMONLY KNOWN AS SERAFINE DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect did
consider the vacation of a certain Village owned right-of-way
commonly known as Serafine Drive and did forward their
recommendation to vacate the subject property to the President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of
proper legal notice, held a Public
meeting on November 5, 1986 for the
vacation of Serafine Drive; and
Trustees, pursuant to
Hearing at their regular
purpose of considering the
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount prospect have determined that the vacation of Serafine
Drive would be in the best interests of the residents of the
Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the President and Board of Trustees find and
determine that it is in the best interest of the Village of Mount
Prospect to vacate Village owned right-of-way commonly known as
Serafine Drive, legally described as follows:
Ail that part of a public street which is 34.0 feet in width
and known as Serafine Drive lying Southwesterly of the
Southwesterly line of Rand Road, and Northeasterly of the
Northeasterly line of Albert Street, and South of the South
line of Lot I in Block 2 in Frank Serafine's Third Addition,
a Subdivision in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 35, Township
42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, and
Northerly of the Northerly line of Lot 1 in Big Boy
Resubdivision of part of Lots 2 and 3 in Block 2 in Frank
Serafine's Third Addition, a Subdivision in the Southwest
1/4 of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, all in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That upon passage and approval of this Ordinance,
the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file a
certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map
thereof, a copy of which is attached hereto, with the Recorder
of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form as provided by law.
