ORDINANCE NO. 3699
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SPECIFIED
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY TNE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHERAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities
of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer-necessary or useful
to or for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, to retain
ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal
Code, Ill. Rev. Stat., Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4, the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following
described property:
One (1) 1952 American LaFrance, Model 700 Fire Engine
Serial L 4427
One (1) American LaFrance, 12 cylinder gasoline engine
with manual transmission
Four (4) Scott Air Pak II w/aluminum tanks
Two (2) Scott Speaker Systems
One (1) Scott Harness
One (1) Scott 800017-00 Regulator
One (1) Scott 8000800 Pak Alarm
Two (2) Scott 15-minute Tanks
One (1) Scott 15-minute Harness and Tank Holder
One (1) Scott Pressure Pak Harness & Mask
Twelve (12) Scott Nose Cups
Four (4) Scott Speaker Systems W/nose cup Microphones
Two (2) Face Piece Webs
One (1) Scott 5-minute Respirator w/nose mask
One (1) Pressure Pack Regulator
One (1) Face Piece Lens
Two (2) Breathing Tubes
Two (2) Exhalating Valves
now owned by the village of Mount Prospect, is no longer necessary
or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the best interests of
the village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale.
SECTION TWO: That pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the village Manager
is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal
property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, to the highest
bidder therefor. Said sale shall be conducted through the receipt
of sealed bids.
SECTION THREE: That the village Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to advertise the sale of the aforementined personal property in a newspaper
published within the come, unity and/or other fire service related publications
not less than ten (10) days before the date of said bid opening.
SECTION FOUR: That the Village of Mount Prospect reserves the right
to reject any and all bids.
SECTION FIVE: That the village Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to enter into an agreement for the said sale of said personal property
which shall be advertised for by publishing the following notice at
least once in the Daily Herald and fire service related publications,
which notice shall be in substantially the following form:
OTICE TO BIDDERS
The Village of Mount Prospect is accepting bids for the sale of one
(1) 1952 American LaFrance, Model 700 Fire Pumper powered with an American
LaFrance V12 gasoline engine with manual transmission. The engine
has a 300 gallon booster tank and one (1) standard 14 foot roof ladder
and one (1) 24 foot extension ladder. Also included is one (1) American
LaFrance gasoline powered V12 engine and manual transmission as a spare
power unit.
Bids are also being accepted for the following used air mask equipment
as a package:
Four (4) each Scott Air Pak II with aluminum tanks and associated
spare parts
Bids will be accepted until 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 3, 1986
in the Office of the Village Manager, Village of Mount Prospect, 100
South Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056.
Bid envelopes shall be marked "Fire Engine Bid" and/or "Air Mask Bid".
The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.

SECTION SIX: That upon payment of the full price, the Village Manager
is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the
aforesaid personal property, to the successful bidder.
SECTION SE~-EN: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage (by a vote of at least three-fourths of
the corporate authorities), approval and publication in the manner
provided by law.
