AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR CERTAIN
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1908 WOOD LANE
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Mr. Allen O. Becker has filed an application for
variation with respect to property commonly known as 1908 Wood Lane
(the "Subject Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is described as follows:
Lot 61 in Woodview Manor, being a subdivision in the
North half of the Northeast quarter of Section 25,
Township 42 North Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof
recorded June 16, 1960 as Document Number 17883769 in
Cook County, Illinois.
WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks the following variation from the
provisions of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect,
Illinois, to allow a driveway width of 29 feet (29) on the Subject
Property instead of the maximum width permitted of 18 feet (18') as
allowed by Section 14.116.C of Article I of Chapter 14; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the variation request
(designated as Case No. ZBA-38-V-86) before the Zoning Board of
Appeals in the Village of Mount Prospect on the 10th day of July,
1986, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published in the
Mount Prospect Herald on the 24th day of June, 1986; and
WHEREAS, The Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect to allow the requested variation, and the
President and Board of Trustees of said Village have given further
consideration to the variation request and have determined that the
same satisfies the standards set forth in Section 14.605 of Article
VI of Chapter 14 of the Village Code, and this Board further finds
that it would be in the best interest of the Village to grant the
request for variation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinab0ve are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the village
of Mount Prospect hereby grant to the Subject Property the variation
requested with respect to Section 14.116.C of Article I of Chapter
14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois to allow a
driveway width of 29 feet on the Subject Property instead of the
permitted 18 feet.
SECTION THREE: Except for the variation granted herein, all
other applicable Village of Mount Prospect Ordinances and
Regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the Subject
Property.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
