ORDINANCE NO. 3678
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
REAL ESTATE OWNED BY THE VILLAGE COMMONLY
KNOWN AS ONE NORTH STEVENSON AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 3637
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois is the owner of the
following described real property:
Lot 18 in Bluett's Fairview Gardens, being a subdivision of
part of the West Half of the East Half of the Southeast
Quarter of part of the East Half of the West Half of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range
11 East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County,
Illinois.
which property is commonly known as One North Stevenson, Mount
Prospect, Illinois and is currently zoned for single family
residence purposes; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, having determined that the subject property was no
longer necessary, appropriate or in the best interest of the
Village to retain title to the said real estate, did, in
cooperation with School District 214, authorize the construction
of a single family home on this village owned property, which
construction was for the purpose of offering high school students
an opportunity to gain experience in the various trades involved
with construction; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect did adopt Ordinance No. 3612, passed and approved
February 18, 1986, authorizing the subject real estate to be sold
by public auction; and
WHEREAS, a public auction was held on April 5, 1986, at which time
a contract was executed between the successful bidders and the
Village for the purchase of the subject real estate, said contract
being authorized by passage of Ordinance No. 3637, passed and
approved April 15, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the conditions of the Contract to Purchase have not been
met by the Purchasers and the Village now finds it necessary to
list the subject real estate for sale through a licensed real
estate broker by paying the standard commission fee.
NOW, THEREFOREf BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect do hereby state as facts the recitals
hereinabove set forth.
SECTION TWO: That Ordinance No. 3637, passed and approved
April 15, 1986, is hereby repealed.
SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to list the Village owned property commonly known as
North Stevenson with George L. Husse (Red Carpet) Real Estate

Company, being a licensed real estate agency, for the purpose of
selling the subject property to the highest qualified Purchaser.
Upon the receipt of an Offer to Purchase and said Offer to
Purchase having been reviewed and approved by the Village
Attorney, the Village Manager is further authorized to negotiate
and execute on behalf of the Village any and all Offers to
Purchase.
SECTION FOUR: That the Village President is hereby authorized to
sign and the Village Clerk authorized to attest her signature on
any and all documents necessary for the sale and transfer of title
to the property being the subject of this Ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form in accordance with law.
