AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT LAND LYING IN SECTION 23,
TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN COOK COUNTY
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect did hold a Public Hearing on February 17, 1987,
pursuant to law, which Public Hearing was for the purpose of
considering the involuntary annexation of land hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, said land is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best
interest of said Village that the said land and territory he
annexed to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTy, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That all land and territory legallydescribed as
follows:
That part of the west half of the northwest quarter of
Section 23 lying south of the south l~he of Algonquin
Road (except that part heretofore annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect) and also'(except that part
thereof lying northeasterly of the center of Higgins
Creek east of the east llne of Semrow's Addlt~on); also
that part of the east half of the northwest quarter of
Section 23 lying westerly of the center of Higg~ns
Creek; also that part of the west half of the southwest
quarter of Section 23, lying north of the most
southerly line of J.-T. Builder's Industrial Sub-
division, and an extension thereof (except the west 50
feet thereof); also that part of the northeast quarter
of Section 22 lying east of the east llne of Common-
wealth Edison Company Right-Of-Way north of the north
line of Mansard Lane Condominiums and south of the
south line of Hewitt's Subdivision, and an extension
thereof, all in Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, ~n Cook County, Illinois.
an accurate map of which territory is attached hereto and hereby'
made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record in the Office of the
Recorder of Deeds, or Registrar of Titles, whichever is
applicable, of Cook County, Illinois, and to file in the Office

of the County Clerk of Cook County, Illinois, a copy of this
Ordinance together with an accurate map of the territory annexed.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after is passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.

I, Carol A. Fields, on oath state that I am the duly
appointed Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook
County, Illinois, and that the within and foregoing Notice was
served on the Trustees of the Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection
District, Board of Town Auditors and Highway Commissioner by
mailing a copy of the said Notice to said Trustees of the Elk
Grove Rural Fire Protection District, Board of Town Auditors and
Highway Commissioner of Elk Grove Township, by certified mail,
return receipt requested and that such Notice was served at least
ten (10) days prior to the official annexation of the property
legally described in said Notice.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-1 of Chapter 24 of the
Illinois Municipal Code, as amended, you and each of you, as
Commissioners, and officials of Elk Grove Township, and Trustees
of the Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection District are hereby
notified that on February 17, 1987 the corporate authorities of
the Village of Mount Prospect will consider the annexation of
certain property within the corporate limits of Elk Grove
Township. This action will take place at a regular meeting of
the corporate authorities of said Village of Mount Prospect, on
February 17, 1987, in the Senior Center, 50 S. Emerson Street,
Mount Prospect,' Illinois, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., which
property is legally described as follows:
That part of the west half of the northwest quarter ~f
Section 23 lying south of the south line of Al§onquln

Village of Mount Prospect) and also (except that part
thereof lying northeasterly of the center of Htggins
