Il. ROLL CALL
III. NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC CALMING PROGRAM
Staff presented the draft Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program to the Village Board of
Trustees and Safety Commission in 2010. Based on the previous discussion, staff has
updated the document and will present the changes to the group. If acceptable, staff will
plan to present the document at a future Village Board Meeting for adoption.
IV. SEE -GWUN AVENUE SPEED HUMPS
Installed in 2006 as an experimental project, the speed humps along See -Gwun Avenue
have received both positive and negative feedback. Staff would like to resume discussion
on their permanency in light of potentially adopting a traffic calming program. Staff will
present how this project fits within the context of the traffic calming program and seek
next steps from the group.
V. REDEFINING THE SAFETY COMMISSION
So that the Village Code better reflects the actual objective and duties of today's
Commission, Staff has drafted an amendment to the section of the Village Code that
pertains to the Safety Commission including changing the name to the Transportation
Safety Commission. The Commission has recommended approval of the amendment.
Staff wishes to informally discuss the amendment prior to presenting it at a Village Board
Meeting.
