AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR CERTAIN
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1300 SANTEE LANE
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Wayne F. Adolf has filed an application for variation
with respect to property commonly known as 1300 Santee Lane in
the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois (the "Subject Property");
and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is described as follows:
Lot 1 in Resubdivision of Lot A in Brickman Manor
Second Addition, unit number 1, being a Subdivision
of part of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 25, Township
42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks a variation from the following
provisions of Chapter 21, Section 601 of the Village Code of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, to allow the construction of a six foot
(6') (maximum) height fence to extend to the front of the
existing structure along Euclid Avenue
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the variation request
(designated as Case No. ZBA 51-V-87) before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 23rd day of July,
1987, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published in the
Mount Prospect Herald on the 8th day of July, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect to allow the requested variation, and
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have given
further consideration to the variation request and have
determined that the same satisfies the standards of the Village
Code, and this Board further finds that it would be in the best
interest of the Village to grant the request for variation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect hereby grant to the Subject Property the
variation requested with respect to Section 21.601 of Article VI
of Chapter 21 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, to
allow the construction of a six foot (6') high fence to extend
within forty-two feet (42') of the front property line in
accordance with Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
SECTION THREE: Except for the variation granted herein, all
other applicable Village of Mount Prospect Ordinances and
Regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the
Subject Property.

SECTION FOUR: In accordance with the provisions of Section
14.604 this variation shall be null and void Unless permits are
issued and construction begins within one (1) year of the passage
of this Ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
