AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE VILLAGE
OF ~OUNT PROSPECT LAND LYING IN SECTION 23,
TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN COOK COUNTY
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect did hold a Public Hearing on July 7, 1987,
pursuant to law, which Public Hearing was for the purpose of
considering the involuntary annexation of land hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, said land is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best
interest of said Village that the said land and territory be

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE:
follows:
That all land and territory.legally described as
That part of the west half of the northwest quarter of
Section 23 lying south of the south line of Algonquin
Road (except that part heretofore annexed to the Village
of Mount Prospect) and also (except that part thereof
lying northeasterly of the center of Higgins creek east
of the east line of Semrow's Addition); also that par% of
the east half of the northwest quarter of Section 23 lying
westerly of the center of Higgins Creek; also that part of
the west half of the southwest quarter of Section 23, lying
north of the most southerly line of J.-T. Builder's Industrial
Subdivision, and an extension thereof (except the west
50 feet thereof); also that part of the northeast quarter
of Section 22 lying east of the east line of Commonwealth
Edison Company Right-Of-Way north of the north line of
Mansard Lane Condominiums and south of the south line of
Hewitt's Subdivision, and an extension thereof, all in
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, and
Also generally described as that area south of Algonquin
Road, north of the Northwest Tollway; westerly of Higgins
Creek, on the east side of Busse Road; except that which
has previously been annexed; and the property on the west
side of Busse Road, east of Commonwealth Edison Right-Of-
Way, north of the Northwest Tollway, south of Algonquin
Road, except that which has previously been annexed; and
the property on the east side of Busse Road, south of
Algonquin Road, northerly of ~iggins Creek, which is
surrounded by property previously annexed to the Village
of Mount Prospect.

made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect, COok County, Illinois.

The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
hereby directed to record in the Office of the
Deeds, or Registrar of Titles, whichever is
of Cook County, Illinois, and to file in the Office
f tile County Clerk of Cook County, Illinois, a copy of this
Ordinance together with an accurate map of the territory annexed.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after is passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
