MILITARY & PAID -ON -CALL PREFERENCE POINTS
A discussion was held on a proposed amendment to the Rules and Regulations of the Mount
Prospect Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for military points and paid -on -call points for
candidates who have successfully passed the examination process as potential police officers
and /or fire fighter /paramedics with the Mount Prospect Police and Fire Departments. Mr. Broihier
stated the preference points for paid -on -call firefighters would need to be done by ordinance.
Mr. Broihier also provided an amendment to Chapter III, Section 7B entitled "Fire." This would
amend the Board's rules regarding the probationary period for new firefighter /paramedics and
bring the probationary period into compliance with recent changes to the Board of Fire and Police
