OKDINANCE NO. 3802
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
OF 1981 FOR THE,,VIL,LAGE pF MOU~T,P~OS~ECT
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect has determined a need exists to amend the
official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect as
adopted April 8, 1981; and
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission of the Village of Mount
Prospect, as authorized under Chapter 24, Article 11-12-7 of the
Illinois Revised Statutes, has made recommendations for the
~men'dme'ht to the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount
Prospect of 1981; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 24, Article 11-12-7 of the
Illinois Revised. S~.~.~.~.~., the Plan Commission of the Village of
Mount Prospect did conduct a public hearing on June 17, 1987,
pursuant to proper legal notice being published in the Mount
~rospect Herald on May 29, 1987; and
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Plan
Commission held June 17, 1987, the Plan Commission did recommend
to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect that the Comprehensive Plan of 1981, be amended to
include the specified amendments herelnbelow stated and said
Comprehensive Plan of 1981, as amended, be adopted by the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect concur in the Plan Commission's recommendation,
having reviewed the matter herein; and have determined that the
same is in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The property located west of Cardinal Lane and
Caller'o Cir61e, east of Gregory Street and Courtesy Home Center
on Rand Road, (legal description attached as Exhibit 1), shall be
reclassified from Industrial/Office and Multi-Family Residential
to Single Family Residential
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to the authority vested in the
President ~'nd Board of Trustees of the Village of mount Prospect
under Article VII of the 1970 Constitution of the State of
Illinois, and Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Stat.?tes, the
Official Comprehensive Plan of the~ill~ge of Mount Prospect, as
amended, shall be further amended to include the amendment set
forth in Section One hereinabove.
SECTION THREE: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect be"'~n~ is'hereby directed to file notice of the amend-
ment of this Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount
Prospect, with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds, as provided by
the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
SECTION FOUR: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect be anh is hereby directed to publish in pamphlet form
said Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount
Prospect, with the amendments specified herein, pursuant to the
Statutes of the State of Illinois, made and provided.
SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect'after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form, in the manner provided by law.
