AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP WITH
RESPECT TO THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN
A R-X SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDECE DISTRICT
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Richard Gardner has filed an application to rezone
certain portions of property hereinafter described from a R-X
Single-Family Residence District to a I-1 Light Industrial
District as provided in Article XXII of Chapter 14 of the Village
Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the property is commonly known as Southeast end of
Kenneth Drive in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois (the
"Subject Property"); and is legally described as follows:
The East 105.57 feet of the West 1240.40 feet, as
measured on the North and South lines thereof, of
the South 164.68 feet as measured on the East and
West lines thereof, excepting therefrom all that part
thereof heretofore used, taken or dedicated for public
roads or streets, of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4
of Section 23, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, said rezoning

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on t~e variation request
(designated as Case No. ZBA 74-Z-87) before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 29th day of
October, 1987, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof
published in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 8th day of October,
1987; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect to allow the requested rezoning; and
WHEREAS, this Board has considered the findings and
recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals and does hereby
determine it to be in the best interests of the Village to grant
the requested rezoning.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.

SECTION TWO: The official zoning map pertaining to Chapter 14
entitled "Zoning" of the Village Code of Mount Prospect,
Illionis, as amended, is hereby further amended by reclassifying
certain portions of the R-X Single-family Residence District to a
I-1 Light Industrial District, which is legally described as
above.
SECTION THREE: Except for the changes
