AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP WITH
RESPECT TO THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN
A R-X SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDECE DISTRICT
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Stowe Allen has filed an application to rezone certain
portions of property hereinafter described from a R-X Residence
District to a R-1 Residence District as provided in Article XXII
of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, the property is commonly known as 747 S Meier Road
in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois (the "Subject
Property"); and is legally described as follows:
Lot 1 and Lot 2 in Allen's Resubdivision of a part
of Lot 4 in Meier Brothers Subdivision, in the
southeast 1/4 of Section 10, Township 41 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, said rezoning request is for the purpose of developing
a 4 lot subdivision on a cul de sac.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the variation request
(designated as Case No. ZBA 69-Z-87) before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 29th day of
October, 1987, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof
published in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 8th day of October,
1987; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect to allow the requested rezoning; and
WHEREAS, this Board has considered the findings and
recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals and does hereby
determine it to be in the best interests of the Village to grant
the requested rezoning.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The official zoning map pertaining to Chapter 14
entitled "Zoning" of the Village Code of Mount Prospect,
Illionis, as amended, is hereby further amended by reclassifying
certain portions of the R-X Residential District to a R-1
Residential District, which is legally described as above.
SECTION THREE: Except for the changes stated herein all other
codes of the Village of Mount Prospect shall apply to the Subject
Property in their entirety.

SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
