ORDINANCE NO. 3980
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 1690 EAST EUCLID AVENUE IN MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, AMOCO OIL COMPANY, has filed an application for
variations from specified sections of Chapter 14 (Zoning) of the
Village of Mount Prospect for property commonly known as 1690
East Euclid Avenue (hereinafter referred to as Sub3ect Property);
and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is legally described as follows:
The South 175 feet of the North 225 feet of the West 175
feet of the East 225 feet of the East Half of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 42 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois;

WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks a
allow a 20 foot setback from
required 30 feet; and
variation from Section 14.2102.E to
the east side yard instead of the
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the variation request
(designated as ZBA Case No. 45-V-88) before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 7th day of July,
1988, pursuant to due and proper legal notice thereof published
in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 20th day of June, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect and the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect have further considered the
variation requested and find that it would be in the best
interest of the Village to grant the variation requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated
herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect hereby grant to the Subject Property a
variation from Section 14.2101.E to allow a 20 foot setback from
the east side yard.
SECTION THREE: That, except for the variations granted herein,
all other applicable Village of Mount Prospect Ordinances and
regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the
subject Property.
SECTION FOUR: In accordance with the provisions of Section
14.604 of Chapter 14 of the Village Code, the variations granted
erein shall he null and void unless permits are issued and
construction begins within a one (1) year period from the date of
passage of this ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
